This is Nicole from Sparkly Polish Paradise. When poor Miriam broke her nail some time ago she asked if someone wanted to write a guest post for her blog while her nail grows back, and of course I wanted to – I love her beautiful swatches and nail art <3 So now I’m excited and happy that I have the opportunity to write a guest post for her awesome blog!
I needed some time to figure out what kind of design I exactly wanted to do and then decided to do something I love and that’s typical for the Sparkly Polish Paradise: holo, glitter, gradient, stamping. In one design! For the colour I went for one of Miriam’s favourites, dark berry.
I started with one coat of Cien Nail Polish dancing queen, a beautiful berry shimmer polish I bought at Lidl super market. This polish was quite cheap, but it’s really great – it’s a one coater, the application, brush and drying time were georgeous, too. Then I created a gradient using dancing queen and a england Jane Eyre. This was already lovely, but I always need some extra sparkle in my designs so I added some loose extra fine light pink holo glitter, wild rose from CreativArts. Since it’s loose I first mixed it in some clear nail polish and then applied it like a glitter top coat which worked fine. Last but not least I added an ornamental stamping using ÜberChic Beauty’s collection 3 plate 02 and essie Penny Talk, one of my all time stamping polish favourites. One coat of glossy top coat and you’re done!
I had much fun creating and wearing this design, I really liked the outcome. I hope you guys enjoyed my guest post, too 🙂
Have a lovely time,
